Distributing more than 2.3 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine to children 6-11 years old

The Central Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology (Ministry of Health) has just decided to allocate more than 2.3 million doses COVID-19 vaccine Moderna for disease control centers of provinces and cities to vaccinate children 6-11 years old. This is the distribution of vaccines COVID-19 144th since March 2021.

The Central Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology requires vaccine-receiving units to immediately inject the allocated number of vaccines.

The Moderna vaccine distributed in this batch has an expiry date on the vaccine release certificate and biological product is July 17, 2022. Vaccine is currently stored at a temperature of -25°C to -15°C at the national vaccine warehouse, used to give priority to children 6-11 years old with a dose of 0.25ml per child.

Thus, this is the third distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine Moderna for children 6-11 years old. To date, more than 4.6 million doses of the COVID-19 Moderna vaccine given to children have been allocated by the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology to provinces and cities to serve vaccination needs.
