In particular, the Opening Ceremony is an important opening ceremony for the region’s largest series of cultural and sports events. Therefore, in the past few days, more than 100 artists and actors are still practicing actively and making efforts to get the best preparation for the opening ceremony of the 31st SEA Games.

For the first time participating in a major international event, most of the volunteers who are students of universities in Hanoi cannot avoid being surprised, nervous and worried. But perhaps the dynamism, enthusiasm, communication ability and professional skills are among the advantages of these young people.
Nguyen Chau To Uyen (4th year student, K38 Television Newspaper, Academy of Journalism and Propaganda) is one of the lucky few selected to perform in the upcoming Opening Ceremony. Uyen said that because the number of volunteers to be recruited is quite large, the selection requirements are not too strict, but there are still specific conditions for participation.

As Uyen herself participates in the dance performance, she needs to know how to dance, absorb the lesson quickly and ensure the practice schedule.
“I learned to dance from a young age and still participate in the school’s art clubs, so I was fortunate to have the opportunity to perform for the upcoming opening ceremony of the 31st SEA Games. To talk about the conditions of participation, I think it is the spirit and consciousness of each individual that holds the most important role when facing a dense training schedule for a month.
Moreover, although the ceremony has not taken place yet, surely everyone can imagine the feat and investment in each performance with the contribution of hundreds of actors. With such a large number of actors, the selection is not too strict, most of them will be students from the military art school, dance school, etc. Besides, there are also students from all over the world. Schools in Hanoi have all the criteria to know how to dance, absorb lessons quickly and ensure a schedule.
The daily practice at My Dinh Athletics Palace is quite far from my house, so it is quite difficult for me to travel. There are days when I have to move 2 practice locations in the same day, from Trinh Hoai Duc Gymnasium to My Dinh Athletics Palace is also quite difficult.

Meanwhile, Nguyen Vu Thu Giang (student at university)Department of Veterinary Medicine, Vietnam Academy of Agriculture) said: “My job at SEA Games 31 is a dancer. Therefore, the condition to participate is to have performed on stage and need to know basic dance.
During the selection process, the show’s choreographer will personally cast and select the selected candidates to participate. When I first started exercising, I confessed that it was extremely difficult, because I was not used to the intensity of training so much, so I felt very dizzy and tired. But after a while, you get used to it.”

It is known that to prepare for the 31st SEA Games, the Vietnam Organizing Committee has mobilized nearly 3,000 actors to serve the event. The opening ceremony promises to be very interesting because the program director will apply many modern technologies, create special lighting effects, with the participation of thousands of people.
Also because of this reason plus the urgent preparation time, most of the volunteers will inevitably face pressure and difficulties. Of course, from another point of view, it is also an unforgettable memorable experience for each person.
To Uyen said that although each performance is elaborate, all the members are extremely important pieces to help complete the picture representing Vietnam to send to international friends: “I’m really honored and proud to be able to dedicate and contribute a small amount of effort to a big event after 19 years being held in Vietnam, Sea Games 31.
I was able to participate in 2 performances out of a total of 7 to perform for the Opening Ceremony, which were the conical song and the closing song. The conical song represents the beauty of Vietnamese women with white ao dai and the ending is a combination of 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam and ASEAN countries performing on vibrant music with rhythmic dances. dance and dance representing the ethnic groups of Vietnam and ASEAN countries.

I sweat a lot but my sweat is the most valuable. I also thank the directors and choreographers who have always stood by each rehearsal. To Uyen said that her top secret is to divide her time appropriately, get up earlier to balance all the tasks of the day, she confided: “Before participating in the SEA Games, I also completed the classwork for the last 2 majors at school, now I only have the final assignment, so I have time to ensure the schedule for the program.

For a student who is about to graduate like me, I will have less time than everyone else and the secret for me to both participate in training and not be distracted from studying is that I wake up a little earlier every day to take time to do homework, divide time appropriately, take advantage of breaks to review lessons to ensure the quality of all assignments in class and that I always submit them on time. In particular, I always set a deadline reminder 3 days earlier so that no matter how hard I practice, I will never forget that I have unfinished homework.”
For her part, her friend Thu Giang also shares the same opinion: “With such a dense training intensity, the secret to balancing between your studies and your practice is to arrange your time in the most scientific way. Write down the days/days off and divide each session into each subject to ensure the learning of all subjects. It’s also a way to help me balance practice and study up to this point.”
