On May 12, leaders of the Provincial People’s Committee Binh Duong and the Danish Ambassador to Vietnam and representatives of departments and sectors witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding on land lease agreement of Pandora Group (jewelry production) in the Vietnam – Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP) 3 in Hanoi. Pandora is expected to invest 100 million USD to build the first production base in Vietnam, which will meet 60 million jewelry products per year and create jobs for more than 6,000 people.

Mr. Jeerasage Puranasamriddhi – Supply Director of Pandora Group – said that Binh Duong province, Vietnam was selected as the next production base because of good infrastructure and support from local authorities, as well as local authorities. to access a large pool of local skilled craftsmen.

Pandora’s factory is also expected to use 100% renewable energy and aim to use only recycled silver and gold. The factory was officially built in early 2023 and production started at the end of 2024.

Previously, in March 2022, Lego Group (toy production) from Denmark also announced the construction of a factory in VSIP 3 industrial park with a scale of up to 1 billion USD, which will fully use energy. renewable energy (solar power).

Mr. Nguyen Van Danh – Vice Chairman of Binh Duong Provincial People’s Committee said that after the difficulties caused by the COVID-19 epidemic, so far many good signs in attracting investment have returned. In the first quarter of 2022, there were 2.3 billion USD of foreign investment capital (FDI) registered in Binh Duong.

Binh Duong has officially started construction of VSIP 3 industrial park with an area of ​​up to 1,000 hectares and is planning to expand and open a number of other industrial parks, aiming to attract high-quality investment and use renewable energy. , Environmental friendliness.
