According to News Week, videos of President Putin talking intimately with a mysterious young man during the military parade on May 9 have spread on social media, raising the question of who this person is?

According to the New York Post, for Mr. Putin – a leader who has a habit of keeping his distance from people, a mere close conversation seems curious enough.

Ukrainian racer Igor Sushko shared the clip, which has more than 45,000 views on his Twitter page, and asserted that the mysterious young man Putin spoke to is 36-year-old Dmitry Kovalev.

“The young man with whom President Putin talked for a long time on Red Square is the head of a department that runs the affairs of the Russian presidential palace, Dmitry Kovalev,” said driver Sushko.

The Baza news outlet also claimed that the young man Putin spoke to was Mr. Kovalev.

“Dmitry Kovalev walks next to President Putin, he’s 36 years old, and he’s in charge of one of the departments of the Russian Presidential Palace,” Baza said.

Baza newspaper also revealed interesting information that there are many photos of hockey on the personal page that are said to be Mr. Kovalev’s.

“It is very possible that he and President Putin share a love for the sport,” according to Baza.

President Putin has openly demonstrated his love for hockey and on his 63rd birthday in 2015 he led a hockey team of retired star players against a team amateurs at the Olympic ice rink in Sochi.
