‘Ho Chi Minh City needs digital transformation solutions in the public sector’

The director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology said that the digital transformation space in the public sector in Ho Chi Minh City is very large, an opportunity for researchers to develop solutions.

Mr. Dung said, studies should start the public sector, research solutions, new models for the city. For example, the tax industry needs digital transformation solutions to help best tax administration. Or apply technology in supporting districts to make reports to help them free up labor. From there, use the data to perform trend analysis, forecasting, and decision making for the work of state agencies.

With digital transformation in education, Mr. Dung suggested developing online learning tools with features that can compete with foreign products, or developing digital platforms in education.

The health sector needs systems to connect upper-level healthcare with wards or communes or software to support doctors in examination and treatment.
