Director Le Binh Giang wishes to contribute to helping young people make films
Director Le Binh Giang realizes that there is a shortage of human resources in the Vietnamese film industry and wishes to contribute to helping young people so that they have more opportunities to make films in the future.
Director Le Binh Giang is a familiar name in the film industry film children in Vietnam. He is the author of the horror movie Kfc (2015) attended 20 major and small international film festivals and was the director of a new movie Island of the jackpot: Mother Thien Linh female coming soon.
Having experienced and participated in film festivals and film exchanges, Le Binh Giang understands the very important role of film education and support activities for young people. Therefore, he organized a professional filmmaker training center to contribute to the development of the film industry in Vietnam.
When opening a training center filmthe male director asked himself a question: “How many opportunities do young people who love filmmaking in Vietnam really have to do their job professionally and with knowledge?”
According to the male director, in Vietnam, there are many young people who want to participate in different jobs in the film crew, from directing, scripting, producing to highly specialized jobs such as editing, design, sound, makeup, etc. But still struggling to find a place to learn more about the profession, improve knowledge, skills as well as opportunities to join the film industry.
“After many years of working, I realized that the film industry really lacks human resources in many stages. The world of filmmaking is almost a closed society, which is difficult for outsiders to access and penetrate. I want to create opportunities for you as well as help brothers and sisters in the profession find more partners in their work”, said the director born in 1990.
It was these concerns that prompted him to open a training center where young people are trained in a grounded manner, going from basic knowledge to expertise and practice.
Director Le Binh Giang was born in 1990, besides participating in directing in That Son Spirituality – Thien Linh Caihe also has many impressive productions and won many awards at domestic and foreign film festivals such as Certificate of Merit at Vietnam Film Festival 2011, Best Director of New York Asian Film Festival 2017, Highest Award at Wildfest Film Festival 2015. , Five Flavors Film Festival Jury Prize 2017…
Most recently, he and director Tran Thanh Huy (film Rom) are the only two Vietnamese directors to win the Busan Film Foundation’s award with the project Who Created Human Beings.
From short documentaries to feature films, Le Binh Giang has established a unique personality among today’s independent Vietnamese filmmakers. His cinematic material always directly confronts the most thorny things in life.
