Half a ton of cannons on a car
Quang BinhNguyen Van Hoanh and Nguyen Quoc Thinh were carrying 550 kg of fireworks in their cars for consumption.
At about 2pm on June 6, at Ho Chi Minh road through Kim Thuy commune (Le Thuy district), the Police Department investigating crimes about corruption, economy and smuggling (Quang Binh province police) discovered a car with a license plate. Ho Chi Minh City stopped on the side of the road with suspicious expressions.

The functional forces then caught Nguyen Van Hoanh (27 years old, residing in Tan Long commune, Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri) loading boxes from the car. Nguyen Quoc Thinh (40 years old, resident of Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa province) sat in the passenger seat.
The police determined that this car was carrying 24 packages, inside there were 414 box-shaped blocks with pictures and foreign words. According to Nguyen Van Hoanh’s confession, the above goods are all explosive fireworks, with a total weight of 550 kg, transported from Huong Hoa district (Quang Tri) intended to be consumed in Quang Binh and Nghe An.
