Mui Nghe is located in the southeast of Son Tra peninsula. The rocks here are often likened to a lion lying with its head facing the rocky mountain and facing the sea. The right time to go to Mui Nghe is in the summer, early spring. At this time, the weather is dry, the climate is cool, suitable for moving, enjoying and exploring. From Da Nang city center to Mui Nghe about 10km. If you go by sea, you will admire the majestic beauty of Son Tra mountain, but the canoe cannot reach Mui Nghe because the terrain is mainly rocky, so you have to walk more to get there.
If traveling by motorbike, follow the Vo Nguyen Giap sea route to Son Tra mountain, past Linh Ung pagoda. Then turn right in the direction of the thousand-year-old banyan tree to the end of the road, turn onto a small path leading into the forest, you will reach Mui Nghe.
Riding a motorbike will easily enter the small roads, and you can enjoy the scenery along the way. Although it is still possible to go by car or taxi, it will not be convenient. If you get lost on a motorbike, you can stop to ask people or passersby.
Mui Nghe is considered the most romantic place to watch the sunrise in Da Nang, besides, another thing that attracts visitors to come here is the clear blue lake. The stone blocks, stacked on top of each other, shelter the puddle inside creating a miniature swimming pool with emerald green water.
The terrain in Mui Nghe includes many rocky beaches and bare land, making it an ideal place for tourists to choose as a picnic and camping spot. Visitors can fish, catch crabs, find snails to have a party with family and friends, listen to the sound of waves crashing, the wind blowing… it will definitely be an unforgettable experience.
An important note, here is still wild, so there seems to be no lifeguard, it is best for everyone to just bathe in the lake area and should return before 17:00, not camping overnight. If you do not know how to swim, remember to bring a life jacket. A fishing rod is also a necessity because there are a lot of fish here.
