This is the first time boxer Le Huu Toan has competed for the minium weight class after a series of 3 wins, including 2 knock-out (KO) wins. Le Huu Toan is also the reigning Vietnamese boxing champion under 48kg.

Huu Toan’s opponent in the final is Kitidech Hirunsuk from Thailand with an impressive record of 8 wins in his career, including 5 KO wins.

Kitidech is a young boxer and taller than Huu Toan. But with a fast, accurate close-range attack, the Vietnamese boxer won the point after 12 rounds.

The WBA Asia championship belt is one of the prestigious professional titles to honor the best boxers in the region and continent.

WBA Asia: Vietnamese Dream event has a total of 11 pairs of matches between the top boxers in Vietnam and many famous fighters in the region.
