Apple may rename the A15 Bionic chip to continue to use it for iPhone 14 and increase the price of iPhone 14 Pro

That is, only the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max are equipped with a new generation processor chip, while the iPhone 14 and 14 Max will reuse the A15 Bionic chip, which has been equipped by Apple for iPhone 13 and iPhone SE 2022.
This statement may sound absurd, but was once again confirmed by Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman. And Apple knows how to do business, as well as how to market to convince users to spend money to buy its latest iPhones.
According to a report by Bloomberg, Apple is having difficulty producing both the A16 chip for iPhones and the M2 chip for Mac computers. Apple no longer uses Intel’s processor chips, which means Apple not only makes its own chips for the iPhone and iPad, but also has to make its own chips for its Mac computers.
Both of these new chips will be manufactured on TSMC’s 4nm process. And obviously the number of orders will increase significantly, while production capacity is limited, so maybe Apple will give priority to the M2 chip production line. That is why Apple will only equip the new processor chip for the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max, while the two iPhone 14 and 14 Max models will use the old A15 chip.
To avoid criticism and also as a marketing strategy, Apple may change the name of the A15 Bionic chip to A16, to equip the iPhone 14 and 14 Max. Meanwhile, the new generation chip will be called A16 Pro, equipped with iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max.
This year, the addition of the iPhone 14 Max version may make the selling price of the Pro models slightly change and increase. iPhone 14 will cost from 799 USD, while iPhone 14 Max will cost from 899 USD.
Apple could continue to maintain a $200 difference between the Pro and non-Pro models. Therefore, iPhone 14 Pro can be priced from $ 1,099, instead of $ 999 like the iPhone 13 Pro. However, this year, the iPhone Pro models will also have many differences compared to the regular iPhone models, such as more powerful processor chips, new punch-hole screen design and higher quality cameras.
