Motorbox – Vietnamese engineer motorcycle and hybrid car is coming soon

At the factory in Thu Duc city, Ho Chi Minh City, the Motorbox manufacturing team refined the design and handling capabilities of the auxiliary fork on the rear wheel, the most important part of the vehicle and serves as a vehicle support. . This auxiliary fork uses sensors, cameras and ICU controllers, for the ability to raise and lower automatically depending on the incline and speed of the vehicle.
Apart from maintaining vehicle balance, overcoming the drawbacks of two-wheeled vehicles, this equipment also helps to drive safely during high-speed cornering while automatically adjusting the height on each side. The auxiliary rack is lowered automatically when the vehicle is moving at a speed range of less than 20 km and vice versa, is raised when this level is exceeded.
The Motorbox prototype is also conducting a test at the race track in Long An in early 2022 to evaluate the sensitivity of the steering wheel and the ability to change direction when cornering the front wheels.

If plans go well, Motorbox will be introduced at the Vietnam auto show, which is scheduled to take place at the Saigon Exhibition Center (SECC). Motorbox is not a concept just for show, the project team has ambitions to commercialize this model.
“Whether the Motorbox will become a mass-selling vehicle or only limited manual production, user acceptance is the determining factor,” said Trung Chinh.
Motorbox is a two-wheel hybrid car project founded by Trung Chinh (HCMC) and Vu Phuong (Hanoi). A car is like a product that combines the advantages of compactness and ease of movement in a city, motorcycles, cabins, and air conditioners like cars.
The car uses an electric motor mounted on the rear wheels with a capacity of about 3-5 kW (4-6.7 hp), a maximum speed of about 90 km and a mileage of 100 km. It takes about 2 hours to fully charge the battery placed on the floor of the car.
The chassis, jerseys, microprocessor, ICU controlling the car are all designed and manufactured by the team. Some technologies in vehicles have undergone copyright registration procedures in the US. The Motorbox design has also been registered in Vietnam. Group representatives have not provided an expected price for this model.
