One person died

On the afternoon of April 5, a person in the 4 . case trapped workers do gas asphyxiation in the sewer died at Quang Ninh Provincial General Hospital.

The person who died is Mr. PXL (55 years old), a worker of Ha Long Urban Environment Joint Stock Company.

The victim suffered from hydrogen sulfide (H2S) gas poisoning. Mr. PXL was the most seriously injured of the 4 people trapped and was in a deep coma during emergency at the hospital.

On the afternoon of April 4, a group of workers from Ha Long Urban Environment Joint Stock Company performed construction work at the sewage pumping station area at Ha Long Flower Park, Bach Dang ward, Ha Long city, Quang Ninh province. .

The workers include Mr. PXL (55 years old), TTH (44 years old), D.HG (39 years old) and V.Đ.N. (40 years old).

During the dredging process, seeing a colleague fainting, the other 3 workers went down to the rescue and were shocked and fainted.

About 15 minutes later, all 4 workers were rescued by the rescue force of the Police Department of Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue. Quang Ninh Provincial Police taken up from the sewage pit and transferred to Quang Ninh Provincial General Hospital for emergency treatment.

In the 4 victims, Mr. PXL had circulatory arrest for 20 minutes, had a 3-point Glasgow coma, both pupils dilated 5mm, and his whole body was cold.

On the morning of April 5, the victim continued to have circulatory arrest and did not survive. The remaining three were in a state of lethargy, shortness of breath, chest pain, foaming at the mouth, and involuntary defecation. Particularly, TTH workers are in a coma due to a history of bronchial asthma.
