The clothes I bought could not even be washed in time because I let my children wear them to school this morning,” said Ms. Giang.

And Ms. Tran Thu Thuy, whose child is in grade 5, Dang Tran Con Primary School, Thanh Xuan district said that this morning, her children wore normal clothes, the school did not require students to wear uniforms. “Last night, I was eager to find my uniform again, but one was dirty, one was too old and too short to wear. I also decided not to buy a new one because there are only a few months left of the end of the school year,” said Ms. Thuy.

Another parent with a child in grade 1 said that in the notice sent to the parents of the students, they did not ask their children to wear uniforms. “However, yesterday afternoon, when I went to a neighbor’s house, I saw that my friends with uniforms came back to ask for their mother, but there were no children and I cried. The previous times I also prepared to go to school and then stopped, so this time I kept asking again and again if you were sure? You can’t lie to me anymore,” the parent said.

Many schools do not have time to organize day-boarding

Deciding to send students to school, schools only have 1 day to prepare, so many places do not prepare in time to organize boarding meals for students. It is known that in the first week, districts such as Cau Giay, Dong Da, Ha Dong, Thanh Tri … only taught 1 lesson.

According to parents, many schools in Thanh Xuan and Hoang Mai districts have announced that on the first day of school, their children will study 2 days a day and have a day meal. Before students go to school, the school has washed all blankets and pillows so that they can sleep today.

Pham Thi Le Hang, Head of Ha Dong Department of Education and Training, said that by afternoon, all primary and secondary schools had prepared facilities to welcome students back to school. Regarding the organization of day-boarding, schools have opinions and the Department of Education and Training also advocates to prepare the most thoughtfully from kitchen facilities to food ingredients to ensure the safest. Therefore, schools will study 1 session / day by the end of this week, from the beginning of next week will organize 2 teaching sessions / day and part-boarding”, Ms. Hang said.

A representative of a primary school in Dong Da district also informed that due to the urgent decision to open the school, the school has a lot of things to do from cleaning up facilities, spraying disinfectant… Late last night, with the cooperation of students’ parents, the new classrooms were cleaned up. Due to long-term absence, students’ blankets and pillowcases could not be washed and dried in time. “The kitchen also needs to check and prepare all the equipment, so the school would like to postpone for a few days without meals. From April 12, the children will go to school all day and eat day-boarding, then the preparation will be more thoughtful,” said the principal.

Pham Gia Huu, Head of the Education and Training Department of Thanh Xuan District, said that because all schools were previously required to be ready to open their doors to welcome students, the facilities were maintained clean. Yesterday, the Department of Education and Training also held a meeting to thoroughly understand the schools again, prepare the most thoughtful conditions, especially the stage of organizing boarding meals for students to ensure food hygiene and safety.
