Carbon steering wheel, new sound system, ‘genuine’ leather cabin
Not only stopping at finishing the exterior of the homemade Bugatti Chiron, the group of young people in Quang Ninh decided to play big by redoing the entire interior to make it more like a real car. The proposed solution is leather upholstery, carbon textured panels, aluminum panels and a new steering wheel rework. To do that, the Nhat TV team brought their car to a workshop specializing in auto interior making in Hanoi for planning and construction.
The interior of the car before and after the rework looks completely different. The main color tone of the new interior is brown. This is also the typical color of the real Chiron interior.
The highlight is the leather-wrapped steering wheel and carbon trim. This steering wheel also has chrome borders and a large Bugatti logo that looks almost like the real thing. Behind the steering wheel is a large gearshift paddle. The watch is taken from a luxury Toyota car.
From the side view, the interior looks gorgeous with a contrasting two-tone color scheme. The central button array is also simulated from the real car. The new gear lever is wrapped in leather and looks more refined. Some positions are covered with carbon texture to make the cabin look sportier.
The car seat is covered with extra foam to make it thicker and more comfortable before it is covered with leather. The seat form is also modified to hug people more. It can be seen that the ceiling is also covered with leather and the material used is suede. This detail makes the homemade Bugatti Chiron look more advanced than ordinary cars costing about 700 million VND – the same price as the group of young people spent to make this car.
Every little detail is taken care of, typically the Chiron Super Sport logo is embroidered at the center pedestal, near the footrests of the driver and passenger.
In addition, the car also adds an entertainment sound system inside. Speakers are mounted on the doors and on the dashboard.
According to the representative of the Nhat TV group, young people had to bring their car from Quang Ninh to Hanoi to make furniture because they consulted first and learned that the Smart Car workshop has good construction quality. Besides, the group was also given a custom package by this workshop, so it was completely cost-free to makeover the car’s interior. Normally, the cost to cover the entire car interior like this is up to tens of millions of dong, not to mention the newly reworked carbon-coated steering wheel.
The time to conceptualize and construct the entire car interior is about 10 days. The most difficult stage is said to be making the carbon and leather cladding details around that position.
The homemade “supercar” was transported from Quang Ninh to Hanoi by specialized vehicles for interior decoration.
Previously, this homemade Bugatti Chiron was completely handcrafted by young people in Quang Ninh based on a real car model along with a 1:1 simulation. The vehicle is equipped with a Toyota engine and transmission, which can be operated like a regular car. However, because the car is homemade, it is mainly for display and collection purposes. The cost of finishing the car is estimated at more than 600 million VND.
The car was originally painted blue, then changed to white.
