Antirhodos (also known as Antirrhodos or Anti Rhodes) is a submerged island, about 5m deep, located in the eastern harbor of the city of Alexandria (Egypt). It was the site of an Egyptian palace from the Ptolemaic period (which lasted about 300 years, from 332-30 BC).
This ancient island is believed to have been submerged by earthquakes around the 4th century, and was found in 1996 near the Egyptian harbor of Alexandria.
