Dak Anh landfill is treated by manual burning method.

According to PV’s research, Dak Anh landfill is about 1ha wide, located next to the inter-commune road from Quang Tien to Ea M’nang, Quang Hiep and Ea Md’roh communes. This is the burial place for domestic waste collected from households in Quang Tien commune and Quang Phu town (Cu M’gar district). Every day, about 40-45 tons of domestic waste gather at this landfill.

Garbage here is mainly treated crudely by manual burning and then burying, which does not ensure environmental sanitation.

The area of land for landfill treatment is almost exhausted, and there is no more space to store it, so it overflows into the street every time a lot of garbage arrives.

According to local residents, in the dry season, this landfill has a stench of stench, dense flies and mosquitoes, which are extremely unpleasant; In the rainy season, water from garbage mixes with rainwater and spills out, greatly affecting daily life.

In particular, every time the garbage is burned, smoke and dust will fly, causing people to suffocate. Not only that, because the landfill is close to the road, the smoke and dust make traffic participants limited visibility, hidden dangers.

Our people just hope the local government will soon move it to another place, return the clean environment to people”, Ms. Loan reflected the situation and expressed her wish.

As for Mr. Tran Van Man, a truck driver who regularly runs through this landfill, he said that truckers like him are not affected much, but for motorcyclists, most are alarmed by the dust. along with garbage that flies in the sky every time a car passes by.

“Due to the overflow of garbage on the street, when a car passes, the plastic bags are also swept away, and at the same time, causing a ‘dust storm’ that makes motorcyclists or pedestrians suffer. We also suggest that the locality soon relocate this landfill quickly so that people no longer have to live in pollution,” Man said.

Ms. Van said, the locality has made a petition to the District People’s Committee to request the policy of moving the landfill to a suitable place and the district has also approved to arrange another location for relocation. unrealized.

“Currently, to solve the immediate shortcomings, the People’s Committee of Quang Tien Commune continues to petition the District People’s Committee to direct the Cu M’gar Urban Landscape and Environment Company to clean, collect, and treat waste neatly in order to ensure the living environment for people, ensure traffic safety and urban beauty to wait until the landfill is relocated according to the recommendations of the people and Quang Tien commune,” added Ms. Van.

“However, due to limited funding, the relocation plan is temporarily postponed. Currently, the district has directed relevant authorities to handle garbage in a way to avoid causing pollution to the people, but this is only It’s a temporary solution, and it will be calculated later,” he said.

The reporter raised the question “Can the district call for socialization to build this landfill in Ea M’ró commune?”, the leader of Cu M’gar district said that “it is difficult to call the commune. Because the planning place is very far from the garbage collection place, the transportation cost is large, so few businesses accept to pour money in.
