Ho Chi Minh CityManh Quynh touched viewers when singing along with Phi Nhung’s voice in the song “Love life” at the night of music on the evening of April 28.

The audience clapped wildly when Manh Quynh stepped onto the stage to duet with Phi Nhung singing from the video Life love (Le Minh Bang). The male singer reviewed the memories of both with the familiar sentence: “Please introduce to the audience Phi Nhung’s voice”. According to Manh Quynh, this song is the most sung by them in 20 years of performing together.
In the wings, Phi Nhung’s adopted daughter – Quynh Trang – tearfully witnessed the performance. From the audience seats, Mai Hoa (40 years old, HCMC) recited the tune. When the spotlight shone on the empty microphone on the stage, she burst into tears. The audience said: “I have been a fan of Phi Nhung for many years. I cherish the emotional voice as well as the benevolent heart of the living singer. She is gone, but the image remains in everyone’s hearts.” .
During the show, the late singer appeared in one way or another. When it’s an excerpt from the MV Baby don’t cry (Hamlet Truong), when Manh Quynh held a glass of wine in front of the miro, as if Phi Nhung was present.
Every song Find you in memories, Quietly by your side, Sad love song in the rain (composed by Manh Quynh)… are all feelings the male singer had for his colleagues when she passed away. Some people’s eyes turn red when they see the image of the two sticking together in music and everyday life on the screen.

Manh Quynh said that he did not want to be “mushy” to affect the mood of the audience. “I’ve cried a lot before, so I try to hold back my emotions on this show, hoping that people will be happier when listening to music,” he said.
To change the atmosphere, the overseas vocalist interacted with fans when quizzing which exciting song Phi Nhung performed most often and gave the person who answered correctly three of his CDs. Singer said two songs Tambourine (Y Van) and Impromptu theory of black horse (Tran Tien) was performed by the late artist so much that there was a teasing show: “Today, please don’t bring the rice drum to the stage anymore”.
Phi Nhung’s adopted children: Quynh Trang, Thieng Ngan, Tuyet Nhung and champion Bolero Ngoc Phung, Truong Sang took turns performing songs associated with the late singer’s name such as: Dream of stork wings (Vu Quoc Viet), Falling in love with the daughter of Ben Tre (Phan Ni Tan popularizes Luan Hoan’s poetry)… When the show just started, Quynh Trang walked up to the stage and placed a bouquet of flowers on a chair in memory of her mother.

The audience lingered until late to enjoy the performances. At the end of the program, a representative of the organizers went on stage to apologize for the power outage. They also gave 100 million VND to Manh Quynh to contribute to the fund to build a Vietnamese language school in Giac An Vihara (USA) according to Phi Nhung’s wish.
