With the happy ending of two very popular series, Fire Force and Dr. Stone we are about to say goodbye to another name, that is Mashle: Magic and Muscles.

The news came earlier this week when episode 11 of the hit comedy series was released in Japan. In a statement from original manga author Hajime Komoto, he announced that the series has now entered its final season. This announcement comes as more and more fans of this manga are looking forward to an anime adaptation worthy of what Mashle: Magic and Muscles has done.
With a quirky protagonist and an engaging storyline, Mashle breathes new life into classic shounen character archetypes. Many manga, anime, and other medium stories often feature a helpless protagonist in the midst of a magical world, not to mention the endless list of settings within a school. Mashle: Magic and Muscles has both mixed contexts, marking a new development for the hero genre in shounen jump.
Written and illustrated by Hajime Komoto, Mashle is essentially a triad follower, combining the words “magic” and “muscle” while incorporating the name of the main character, Mash. With an archetypal protagonist who has never appeared in shounen and a powerful magical plot, Mashle infuses new life into shounen classics.
Protagonist Mash Burnedead is a young man without magical abilities living in a world where those powers are normal. Attending Easton Magic Academy to please his grandfather, Mash aims to get into the school and rise through his own efforts. He does so not with magic but instead relies on pure muscle and physical strength.
