Heart-stopping with the world’s longest suspension bridge spanning a deep valley

The suspension bridges crossing the valley often possess a majestic and green natural landscape. However, the suspension bridge over high mountains or deep valleys is a big challenge for many people, especially those who are afraid of heights.

The Sky Bridge 721 suspension bridge over 720m long, 95m above the ground and only 1.2m wide in the Czech Republic is one of such places.

Sky Bridge 721, named for its length (approximately 721 m), is the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in the world.

The bridge is located in the East Bohemia Dolni Morava resort area, at the foot of the Jeseniky Mountains in the Czech Republic.

Visitors will step onto the bridge at an altitude of 1,125 m above sea level. The other end of the bridge is also located at 1,135 m above sea level. The bridge’s website also emphasizes that this is not the place for those who are afraid of heights.

Sky Bridge 721 is located right next to the Sky Walk attraction, a 55-meter-high spiral wooden walkway structure that allows visitors to enjoy stunning views of the valley.

The bridge will open in May 2022 and take the record for longest pedestrian suspension bridge from the 516 Arouca bridge in Portugal (also named for its length of 516 m).

This is considered a technical achievement of the Czech Republic. After crossing the valley by the 721 bridge, visitors will have the opportunity to explore the nature and history of the area, through a 2km walking route called “Bridge of Time”.
