Quang Nam: Crashed into a power pole, 2 foreigners died on the spot

On the afternoon of May 16, the police of Hoi An city (Quang Nam province) confirmed that a traffic accident had just occurred in the area, causing two deaths.

The victims were identified as two foreigners, Mr. Denver Christopher Marcus (SN 1997) and Ms. Thompson Pethmay (SN 1998).
According to initial information, around 3:40 a.m. on the same day, these two guests were riding on the same motorbike with Quang Nam number plate, circulating on Hung Vuong Street, in the direction from Hoi An city to Dien Ban town.
When arriving in front of house number 208 Hung Vuong (Thanh Ha ward, Hoi An city), the motorbike suddenly climbed onto the curb and crashed into a roadside power pole.
The strong impact caused two foreigners to die on the spot, the motorbike was damaged.
A leader of the Hoi An City Police said that, through verification, the two victims were of the same British nationality and came to Hoi An to travel.
Currently, the case has been handed over by the City Police to the Quang Nam Provincial Police to handle the investigation according to its competence.
