Earlier at 19:00 on May 16, Uong Bi City Police received a report from Ms. Vu Thi Thu Hien, (SN 1971, resident group 2, Tre Mai, Nam Khe ward) about being robbed.

According to Ms. Hien, around 3:30 p.m. on the same day, a young man wearing a mask walked into her stall to ask for groceries, then suddenly threatened to open a box with a knife to his neck, forcing him to open the box to get money. Subject took 3 million and then fled towards National Highway 18A.

Uong Bi City Police mobilized forces to examine the scene and identify the culprit as Lam Van Thuat and arrested later. At the police station, Thuat confessed that he often gambled through social networks and lost 100 million VND.

On May 15, Thuat argued with a family member, so he drove a motorbike BKS 14Z1: 095.75 from his house to Nam Khe ward, Uong Bi city, rented an inn to stay and pledged his motorbike to a shop for a price. 6 million dong.

After that, the subject roamed the area of ​​Nam Khe ward, discovered that Ms. Hien’s shop was empty, so the intention was to rob the property.

Thuat brought a fruit knife, put it in a bag in front of his stomach, covered his face, and walked to the store. Taking advantage of Ms. Hien’s lack of vigilance, Thuat used a knife to hold Hien’s neck uncontrollably to commit property robbery.
