Bau Duc sells pork with Dong A Pharmaceutical

The Board of Directors of Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAGL) has just approved the establishment of Bapi Hoang Anh Gia Lai Joint Stock Company with the business of wholesale food.

Accordingly, HAGL contributes capital 27.5 billion VND to hold 55% of the new company’s charter capital. Ms. Nguyen Thi Huyen was appointed to represent HAGL’s capital. The rest, Dong A Pharmaceutical Trading Co., Ltd holds 40% of the shares and Ms. Hoang Thi Kim Nhung contributes 5% of the capital.

According to the Business Registration Administration, Bapi Hoang Anh Gia Lai Company has just been established on May 26, located at HAGL’s management building. The charter capital of the company is 50 billion VNDregistered as the main business of food wholesale.

The general director and legal representative of Bapi is Mr. Dinh Van Loc, born in 1971, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dong A Pharmaceutical Trading Company. This company was established in 1996, headquartered in Hanoi with the 2 largest shareholders, Mr. Loc owns 58% and Ms. Le Minh Nguyet (Vice President and Director of East Asia) holds 40% of the shares.

In addition to the pharmaceutical business, the company also deals in many different fields such as logistics since 2009, participating in scientific and technological research since 2012, investing in warehousing and infrastructure since 2014…

The company has a distribution system in 64 provinces (more than 600 hospitals and nearly 20,000 pharmacies). The company also provides services such as product branding, market research, and FMCG point-of-sale system development.

Currently, this company focuses its resources on functional foods and put into operation the largest black garlic factory in Vietnam in 2020 with a scale of 1.5 hectares and a capacity of 600 tons a year. .

According to Mr. Doan Nguyen Duc, the goal of establishing Bapi Hoang Anh Gia Lai Joint Stock Company is to develop a systematic and professional pork trade. The company will also build and franchise brands. Starting from July, the company will go into operation and sell pork to the market.

“I believe Bapi Hoang Anh Gia Lai Company will soon achieve high sales so as not to disappoint shareholders’ expectations,” said Mr. Doan Nguyen Duc.

In 2022, Hoang Anh Gia Lai targets revenue of 4,820 billion dong, profit of 1,120 billion dong. If implemented, this will be the highest profit of HAGL since 2015 until now.

This year, HAGL will plant an additional 2,000 hectares of bananas and build nine more clusters of barns to raise sows and pigs. Among them, there are 2 groups of barns in Laos and 2 in Cambodia, bringing the total number of barns to 16 with a capacity of more than one million pigs per year.
