Phu Cu district is a planned place specializing in planting early ripening litchi of Hung Yen with an area of ​​700 hectares, an output of more than 10,000 tons. The district actively organized a conference to promote early ripening lychee consumption with the participation of 100 traders, helping to sign sales contracts early.

Plan to consume lychee in the main season

To connect supply and demand, the People’s Committee of Bac Giang province coordinated with the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to organize an online conference to promote lychee consumption in 2022.

The conference is connected online with dozens of bridge points in provinces and cities across the country and 13 bridge points in China, Japan, Singapore, Austrailia, Thailand, and UAE.

With a total output of about 180,000 tons, Bac Giang expects domestic consumption of about 108,000 tons, accounting for 60%; exported about 72,000 tons, accounting for 40%. The Middle East, Thailand, and Canada will be the new markets for this year’s lychee crop.

“This year, we continue to expand a number of new markets, with potential to bring lychee fruit to expand export markets. With a total litchi area maintained at 28,300 hectares, the whole province of Bac Giang currently has 18 area codes for growing lychee with an area of ​​218 hectares, producing and supplying to the US, EU, and Australia markets. The Japanese market has 30 planting area codes, with an area of ​​about 270 hectares and an output of about 1,800 tons.
