Suspect Tran Ngoc Tan in Tien Giang threw a petrol bottle at the owner of the rice mill and set it on fire, killing the victim.
On the morning of May 27, the police department of Cho Gao District Police (Tien Giang) temporarily detained the suspect Tran Ngoc Tan (34 years old, living in Phu Kiet commune) to investigate the behavior of “Intentionally causing injury leading to death” People”.
According to the initial investigation, on the afternoon of May 25, after drinking, suspect Tan went to the place where his biological mother worked for a local rice mill owned by Mr. Nguyen Tan Thanh (68 years old).
Here, Tan did not allow his mother to work at Mr. Thanh’s factory. There was a conflict between mother and daughter, Mr. Thanh intervened and quarreled with Tan.
Tan took a 2-liter fuel tank and threw it at Mr. Thanh and lit it on fire. The owner of the rice mill was seriously burned and taken to the emergency room.
After that, Mr. Thanh was transferred to Cho Ray Hospital (HCMC) for treatment in a very serious burn condition.
On the morning of May 27, Mr. Thanh died.
