A 1-year-old girl in Ho Chi Minh City died, suspected of being abused

Previously, on the afternoon of May 27, Binh Tan District Hospital received a case of a girl named K. (born in 2021, living in Tan Tao ward, Binh Tan district) who died before entering the hospital, her body was purple in many places. . After that, the hospital informed the police force to investigate the cause of death of the girl.

Working with the authorities, Ms. V. (37 years old, K.’s mother) said that on the morning of May 27, she gave her child to a woman named Tr. (21 years old) looked after as usual. Near noon on the same day, Tr. called Ms. V. said the baby was coughing, spitting milk and pale body. The baby was then taken to the emergency room but died outside the hospital.

Autopsy results showed that the baby suffered multiple abdominal injuries, suspected of being violent. The case is currently being investigated by the police.
