Ballerina Colleen Hoopes was suddenly shot and killed by her husband while lying next to her

Accordingly, the husband of dancer Colleen Hoopes, Christopher Hoopes, called the police at 3:30 am on May 27 to report the incident. He admitted that in a panic when he first woke up, he fired two shots at the person lying next to him before realizing it was his wife.

Colleen Hoopes was taken to the hospital soon after, but because of her injuries, the dancer did not survive.

As a result of the initial investigation, Colleen Hoopes was hit by two bullets in the chest. Two separate shots were fired about two seconds apart, according to analysis of audio recordings provided by the victim’s neighbours.

Hearing the news of her daughter’s death, Colleen Hoopes’ mother choked up and shared: “I was stunned and felt as if the nightmare was still going on even though I tried to wake up. My heart was ripped from my chest and the pain was painful. That’s really true.”

Collen Hoopes’ company sent condolences to the unfortunate female dancer: “We are heartbroken over Colleen’s passing. We have joined her in making the performance a success. Round: Reimagined For A New Stage, when Colleen was alive. She’s always been kind and talented, whether as a dancer, as a teacher, or in the way she treats her friends.”

Colleen Hoopes is a famous American dancer. She showed a talent for ballet from a young age and trained professionally in New York before joining Ballet Arizona in 2017. Previously, the dancer also attended the Jacobs School of Music of Indiana University.

Two years ago, Colleen was officially married to Christopher Hoopes.
