This farm consists of 6 large greenhouses, designed like a cage, located on the seabed at a depth of 6-8m. Each of these greenhouses can be filled with 2,000 liters of air, inside installed trays of soil to grow plants. Air will be pumped into the greenhouse through pipes connected to the surface. Modern technical equipment installed in the greenhouse is remotely controlled by scientists to ensure the system works.

An interesting thing about Nemo farm is that the environment is very favorable for plants to grow well. If the greenhouse models on the ground need a lot of equipment, spend money on facilities to ensure the temperature, water, humidity and light for the plants, the undersea greenhouse model can be used. can maintain these elements naturally.

The available moisture from sea water is always stable all year round, regardless of day and night. Sea water evaporates to form water droplets on the top of the glass cage and then falls to the trees below. This ensures humidity is always at 80-85%.

In addition, undersea greenhouses do not have to deal with natural disasters such as droughts, floods, fires or cold winters. In particular, vegetables grown under the sea never appear harmful caterpillars, so there is no need to use pesticides.

The greenhouses are also designed for the sea in harsh areas where plants are difficult to grow.

From these factors, right from the beginning of construction, Nemo has been highly appreciated by scientists for its scientific and technical applicability and important significance for the protection of the Earth’s ecosystem. Vegetables harvested from the Nemo farm in recent days have also shown higher nutritional content than those grown by traditional methods.

Currently, this model has been successfully built in Belgium and the US. Research group and entrepreneur Sergio Gamberini said they are embarking on exporting the technology to other countries. The goal of the research team is to lower the cost of products and replicate this model around the world, ensuring a food supply for people, first of all, people living along the coast.
