According to initial information, at about 6 pm on May 30, in the mountainous area of ​​Huong Son district (Ha Tinh province) there was heavy rain accompanied by high winds. At about 6:30 p.m. on the same day, a lightning bolt struck the pigsty of Mr. Cao Van Lam (SN 1969, living in hamlet 5, Son Linh commune) causing 12 pigs to die.

Immediately after the incident, representatives of the local government and mass organizations were present to visit, encourage, and call on organizations and individuals to buy the pigs that were struck by lightning to support their families. Mr. Lam’s family. After only 1 hour, all pigs killed by lightning were sold out, of which the trade union committee bought 2.

It is known that Mr. Cao Van Lam’s household is raising 29 pigs, including 25 meat pigs. Currently, the pigs mentioned above are in the development stage, each weighing 40-45kg. The total weight of the pig killed by lightning was about 500kg.

Before that, at about 4pm on May 26, Ms. Dang Thi T. (38 years old, residing in Trai Tieu village, My Loc commune, Can Loc district, Ha Tinh province) and many people were harvesting rice in the same village. a short distance from the residential area.

At this time, the weather was hot and sunny, then suddenly changed to thunderstorms accompanied by thunder. Seeing this, many people were afraid to rush into residential areas to avoid shelter. While trying to finish her work, Ms. T. was struck by lightning and fell into the field. Despite being taken to the hospital by locals, the victim did not survive.

Immediately after the incident happened, the local authorities visited, encouraged, and coordinated with the family and people to carry out the burial ceremony for the victim.

It is known that Ms. T’s family has three young children, and the situation is relatively difficult. Ms. T.’s husband, Mr. Nguyen H., is currently working abroad in Japan.
