Vice class takes hundreds of millions of money from your school friends to invest in virtual money

After collecting more than 300 million VND in tuition fees from 45 students, Dao Thi Hien Trang did not pay it to the school but invested in a virtual currency app called BINANCE online.

Accordingly, Dao Thi Hien Trang abused her trust as the vice-class student to collect tuition fees from 45 students of class K61D2 Vinh University in association with Son La College, with a total amount of over 300 million copper.

After collecting the tuition fee, Trang did not pay it to the school according to regulations, but used it for personal purposes, including investing in the online BINANCE App (this is an app that is not allowed to operate in Vietnam, specializes in buying and selling digital assets, mostly cryptocurrencies, virtual money), resulting in the inability to pay the appropriated amount.

Dao Thi Hien Trang’s behavior has enough elements to constitute the crime of “abusing trust to appropriate property” specified in Clause 3, Article 175 of the Penal Code.

Currently, the case is still being investigated and clarified.
