The price of lilies at the markets this year is quite high, ranging from 50,000 VND to 60,000 VND/bundle of 10 flowers. From the beginning of March, groups of online markets have been crowded with people selling and receiving orders at a more affordable price from 140,000 VND/bundle of 30 cotton.

Compared to the beginning of the 2021 season, the price of lilies this year has increased slightly. Also partly due to the epidemic, people also limit going out and cut spending, so the price last year was quite cheap.

Ms. Huong (who sells flowers at Quang An flower market, Hanoi) has been cutting flowers for more than a week now. This year the market seems to be more prosperous, although the price of flowers is not as good as before the epidemic, it is also higher than last year.

“Because every house blooms a little at the beginning of the season, she gathers houses to sell but many days they’re gone. Wholesalers and retail customers who come by these days are buying a lot of lilies. The price of early-season lilies is higher. Many people buy so it’s sold out every day, many customers have to order, I have to make an appointment for early delivery the next day,” Huong shared.

Ms. Ha (Long Bien, Hanoi) said: “My lilies are always more beautiful at the beginning of the season, and the flowers are bigger. The lily season is so beautiful, so every year on this occasion, I go to the flower market to buy them right away. The price to buy is higher, but it’s worth it.”

In order for lilies to stay fresh for a long time and bloom beautifully, you should choose large, evenly spaced flowers with thick wings, usually single-flowered flowers will bloom more evenly than cluster flowers. Should choose flowers that are hard, ribbed, thick leaves are old flowers, bloom stretch, fragrant and fresh longer.
