Unlike previous scams, faking a bank name will make it very easy for you to get caught. Therefore, many people will not be suspicious and get into their accounts, falling victim to criminals.

How to avoid losing money in your bank account?

– Banks never send SMS notifications of blocked services or ask for account verification, so users should not click on links and follow.

– Limit the use of computers in public places, free WiFi… to make transfers or online purchases.

– Absolutely not give out login name, bank password, OTP code (one time password), bank card number … via text message, email, social network or phone to anyone, even if the person claims to be a police officer, a bank clerk.

– Set a password that is hard to guess, and change it regularly after a certain period of time. A strong password will have a minimum of 8 characters, including uppercase, lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters. To ensure security, users should not store passwords in the browser, and not use the same password for multiple accounts.

– Sign up to receive notifications when your account fluctuates (balance changes).

– Use Smart OTP authentication method, Soft OTP (fixed OTP code)… when transacting online, not SMS OTP like today.

– When making a transfer, users need to pay attention to the website address, whether it is the bank’s website or not.

– Regularly update information about fraud in the mass media.
