SSI invests in industrial real estate?
Recently, SSI Fund Management Company Limited – SSIAM signed a cooperation agreement with Shinec Joint Stock Company to study the first opportunity of the Ninh Son Industrial Park project. SSIAM is a member of the SSI Securities Joint Venture which is 100% owned.
It is known that the Ninh Son project is located in the Van Phong Economic Zone with a scale of about 620 hectares, which is oriented to become an industrial area specializing in pharmaceutical, nursing and medical services. The aim of the project is to invest in building a synchronous technical infrastructure, create a place for investors to lease back, build suitable factories and production facilities according to the approved plans, invest in service areas, nursing and medical services. Ninh Son Industrial Park will utilize and use land funds rationally and effectively, while ensuring a safe environment, creating jobs for local workers and increasing budget revenues for provinces and districts.
In this collaboration, SSIAM acts as a unit to carry out the procedures for applying for project permits in accordance with applicable regulations. Shinec will be the unit to carry out the necessary technical surveys and designs, service project licensing and project development procedures.

Meanwhile, the Joint Securities Company SSI (Stock Code: SSI) also signed an agreement to support plan development and financing for investors in industrial estates, partner Shinec. SSI will help businesses create plans to increase equity and debt capital, restructure their finances to achieve their medium and long term development goals. At the same time, SSI will also link businesses participating in the financial sponsorship program and provide advice on procedures for implementing the selected financial plan.
Previously, in January 2022, the Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee had decided to approve the land use plan until 2030 and the land use plan for the first year of the land use planning of the city of Ninh Hoa. Where, Ninh Son Industrial Park has been added to the city’s land use planning.

SSIAM is known as one of the leading fund management companies in Vietnam, with experience in attracting and investing in financial markets. However, SSIAM’s activities, products and services previously focused on managing open funds, ETFs, member funds, or investment trust services for individual/institutional customers.
The fact that SSIAM or more broadly SSI is collaborating to develop an industrial estate is a fairly recent move from the securities giant, in part demonstrates SSI’s interest in industrial real estate.
In addition, in recent years, the SSI group has conducted listing and sales consulting for a series of units in the field of healthcare and medicine in the Vietnam stock market such as OPC Pharmaceutical, or the SK Group’s acquisition of capital in Imexpharm Pharmaceuticals. This experience could be a favorable condition for SSIAM to develop an industrial estate specializing in pharmaceutical, nursing and medical services in Ninh Son.
Regarding SSI, the business is having a booming business year in 2021, thanks to the development of the stock market. The company recorded total revenue of VND 7,772.6 billion, profit before tax of VND 3,326.8 billion, up 71.7% and 112.6% respectively compared to 2020. This is SSI’s record profit after 22 years of operation. In addition, SSI’s share price also continues to reach new peaks, there are times when the market price almost touches 56,000 VND/share.
