Actor’s car company ‘John Wick’ can produce electric motorcycles

Arch Motorcycle – founded by Keanu Reeves and Gard Hollinger in 2011 – is known for its custom sports motorcycles. The car model uses a traditional internal combustion engine entirely. However, two co-founders recently mentioned the possibility of producing an electric motorcycle.

In an interview posted on the company’s website, Reeves and Hollinger sat down to discuss Arch’s future. With the Arch’s primary focus on cruiser and sport cruiser design, it’s possible that its first electric model will be an electric cruiser.

Today in the US, most electric motorcycles have a roadster and sport design. Zero Motorcycles – arguably the most well-known electric motorcycle company in the US – mostly offers nakedbike and dual-sport models. Egernica – an Italian motorcycle company that is rapidly increasing its presence in the US – focuses on the sportbike line.

Even Harley-Davidson – a well-known traditional motorcycle company – has also entered the electric car segment with the LiveWire model with a roadster design.

Arch also has 10 years of experience making motorcycles, but doesn’t have the same research and development resources as Harley-Davidson and many other established automakers, so the question is how Arch can develop its own electric powertrain. There seems to be a strong possibility that the company will join hands with experienced partners in this field.

A good example of a case like Arch, is Zero Motorcycles, when the partnership with Polaris was founded 68 years ago, producing everything from motorcycles to electric cars.

The specific plans for the new Arch line of electric motorcycles are not yet clear. But with Keanu Reeves, anything seems possible.
