Dubai Cup 2022 match schedule today (March 23): U23 Vietnam plays the opening match

This tournament is an important preparation step for U23 Vietnam before attending the 31st SEA Games at home in May. Coach Lee Young Jin is the leader of Vietnam U23 at the 2022 Dubai Cup, because Coach Park Hang Hang Seo is with the Vietnamese team to focus on preparing for 2 matches against Oman and Japan in the 2022 World Cup Qualifiers.

After arriving in Dubai (UAE) and settling in, U23 Vietnam had 2 training sessions at a training ground about 15 minutes by car from Movenpick hotel. Coach Lee Young-jin’s teachers and students are ready to face Iraq U23 at 15:00 on March 23 (local time), ie 19:00 (Vietnam time).

The weather in the UAE is currently quite pleasant, ideal for training activities and sports competitions. That is also the reason why the Organizing Committee of the International U23 Tournament – Dubai Cup 2022 chose this time period to organize the tournament.

According to the schedule announced by the tournament organizers, the Vietnam U23 team will meet the Iraq U23 team in the first round (March 23) and the Croatia U23 team in the second round (March 26). Round 3 will take place on March 29 with matches to be determined after the end of round 2.

Dubai Cup 2022 brings together 10 participating teams including U23 Vietnam, U23 Japan, U23 Croatia, U23 China, U23 Saudi Arabia, U23 Uzbekistan, U23 Thailand, U23 Qatar, U23 Iraq and the host U23 UAE.

The tournament will take place from March 23 to March 29 according to the play-off pairing format in round 1 and round 2. Based on the results of the two rounds mentioned above, the teams will continue to be paired to compete. Round 3 is also the round to determine the final ranking.
