After being unemployed for the past two years, Mr. Le Viet Nhien, 55, from Cam Chau ward, still keeps a buffalo weighing more than a tonne, which he usually takes to accompany him on experience tours for guests to ride. “I’m sure tourism will pick up soon, so I keep the buffalo every day and make friends with foreigners,” he said.
Recently, there were several people in Do Son, Hai Phong, who asked to buy his buffalo to fight, but he flatly refused. “Visitors love this experience so much, I have to save it to help make Hoi An more famous,” said Nhien.
