US sanctions North Korea after missile test

The move comes after the country conducted its first intercontinental ballistic missile launch in more than four years.
The US sanctions list includes 1 entity and 1 individual of North Korea, 2 companies and 1 individual Russian, 1 Chinese company.
The Pentagon said the United States and South Korea had agreed on the need for a “resolute response,” including action at the United Nations, following North Korea’s latest test-firing of an intercontinental ballistic missile.
Earlier, yesterday, North Korea conducted a test launch of a new intercontinental ballistic missile Hwasong-17. North Korean leader Kim Jong-un personally supervised the launch. According to the North Korean side, the missile “flyed nearly 1,100 km to a maximum altitude of more than 6,000 km and hit the target at sea.
It was North Korea’s most complete intercontinental ballistic missile launch since 2017.
