More than 88,000 infections, two provinces added 23,000 cases

The Ministry of Health on the evening of March 29 announced more than 88,000 cases in 62 provinces and cities, and Quang Ninh and Binh Dinh added 23,262 cases.

The average number of new infections recorded in the past 7 days was 103,374 cases / day, down 41% compared to the average of the previous 7 days.

From 5:30 p.m. on March 28 to 5:30 p.m. on March 29, the whole country recorded 55 deaths. The average number of deaths recorded in the past 7 days was 57 cases, down 15% from the average of 7 days before.

The total number of deaths in Vietnam so far is 42,306, accounting for 0.5% of the total number of infections.

The number of serious patients being treated is 3,639 cases, down 13% compared to the past 7 days. In which, more than 2,920 cases of mask oxygen ventilation, more than 300 cases of HFNC high-flow oxygen ventilation, 96 cases of non-invasive mechanical ventilation, 296 of invasive mechanical ventilation and 5 cases of ECMO.

On March 27, an additional 279,038 doses of vaccine were injected, totaling more than 200 million doses.

In the fourth wave, the number of domestic infections is more than 9 million, of which more than 7.1 million have been declared cured. Five provinces recorded high cumulative infections: Hanoi 1,458,587, Ho Chi Minh City 592,677, Nghe An 384,741, Binh Duong 374,529, Hai Duong 339,411.
