Invited each other to swim in the river after school, 2 students died

7 students in Vinh Phuc who invited each other to the river to bathe unfortunately drowned, causing 2 deaths, 5 other students were lucky to be safe.

On the evening of April 25, Ms. Vu Thi Bich Ngoc, Vice Chairman of Tam Dao District People’s Committee, Vinh Phuc province said, on the same evening, functional forces found the bodies of two students who died while bathing in the river.

The area where the incident happened

According to Ms. Ngoc, after school in the afternoon, a group of 7 students went home to put away their school bags and cars, then went to the riverbank of Yen Duong commune, Tam Dao to cool off.

At about 5:00 p.m. on the same day, two students in grades 2 and 3 were tragically drowned. The remaining 5 students are safe.

Vice Chairman of Tam Dao District People’s Committee said that the family situation of the two dead students was very difficult, in which one of the children’s parents divorced. Currently, the government has visited and supported the victim’s family to take care of the afterlife.
