The incident occurred on the evening of March 29, on Sukhimvit Road, Bangkok, Thailand.
In particular, a tourist named Fredrik de Vreese (Belgian citizen, 25 years) was filming a clip of Bangkok’s nightlife when the thief “asked”.
In that clip, someone woman approached Fredrik and put his arm around his neck. This woman offers prostitution to Belgian men, but Fredrik refuses and pushes her hand away. Just then, Fredrik suddenly realized that the expensive gold chain around his neck had disappeared.
After picking up his phone and reviewing the clip, he found that the thief had stolen the necklace in less than 10 seconds. But now it was too late to chase the girl. After the incident, the male tourist reported it to the police.
“The necklace belonged to my grandfather. It has been in my family for many years. I think it cost around 800 euros (about 20 million VND). I am very sad. It has more sentimental value,” said Fredrik.
To date, Thai police have not caught the thief and are still investigating the case.
