Rapper Joe Budden criticized for saying K-pop band BTS is from China

BTS fans are calling out rapper and media personality Joe Budden, who on a recent episode of his podcast called the K-pop band from China.

Budden did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The co-hosts pushed him to explain his reasoning, even correcting him and telling him “it’s Korea.” But Budden doubled down, saying, “I don’t want to watch KoreaNSYNC.”

“I hate them. I don’t need to reveal my reasons,” he said.

In response to the criticism, he said on Twitter that he would not be “bullied” for his musical views, and later responded to a Twitter user’s comment, saying,Oh, stop it, I made a mistake and it’s fixed.

Fans known as Army BTS were quick to come across comments and hate on Budden on social media, claiming the rapper was just jealous of the group’s success and praising his co-hosts. for calling him out. Some people even think his name is a typo for Joe Biden.
