The Vietnamese sports delegation attending the 31st SEA Games had the largest number of members attending the SEA Games with 1,359 people.

According to the preliminary registration list, the number of members of the Union Sport Vietnam at the 31st SEA Games this time is 1,359 people. The head of the delegation was Mr. Tran Duc Phan (Deputy General Director in charge of the General Department of Sport and Sports) and the Deputy Delegations were Mr. Hoang Quoc Vinh (Director of the High Performance Sports Department 1 – General Department of Sports and Sports), Mr. Ngo Ich Quan (Director of the Department of Sports and Physical Education). In addition, the Vietnam Sports Delegation will have 26 members of the medical team, nutritionists and physiotherapists to serve the officials and national sports teams competing in the 31st SEA Games. According to the registration list, the Vietnam Sports Delegation has 965 athletes (534 men, 431 women) competing in 40 sports. The track and field team has the largest number of athletes with 68 athletes, followed by e-sports with 62 athletes, and 31 athletes in swimming. Teams with numbers include artistic gymnastics (8 athletes), Aerobic (7 athletes), diving (9 athletes), chess (9 athletes), chess (8 athletes)…

In the subject Soccerthe U23 Vietnam men’s team consists of 32 members, the women’s team has 29 members, and the men’s and women’s futsal team has 25 members each.

Leaders of the General Department of Sports and Sports presented the preliminary list of Vietnamese sports delegations attending the 31st SEA Games to the leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for approval. The final official list of all countries will be announced at the 31st SEA Games Confirmation Conference taking place in the first week of May in Hanoi.
