“I was traumatized after a miscarriage”

The actress said that for 10 years after getting married, she did not want to have children, and when she wanted to have children, she became pregnant immediately.

“I took a pregnancy test and saw 2 lines on the test strip. My husband and I thought we’d finally become parents. I got pregnant around January or February. However, the doctor couldn’t hear the baby’s heartbeat. So, I experienced my first miscarriage about 8 or 9 weeks into my pregnancy,” she shared.

Ga In said the miscarriage incident left a great impact on her psyche. At the time of pregnancy with the first child, the actress did not even go out. She was only at home for 40 weeks.

“I am afraid of losing my second child. I consider them as precious treasures, because I had to go through a difficult time getting pregnant,” she confided. After losing her child, the actress chose to get pregnant by in vitro fertilization.

At the show, Han Ga In proudly showed off her love for her children. She calls herself a “kangaroo mother”, a term commonly used in Korea to describe mothers who are overly loving and indulgent.

“95% of my life is devoted to my children. Children are my top priority,” Ga In expressed.

In 2005, Han Ga In married actor Yeon Jung Hoon, her co-star in the movie Yellow handkerchief. She decided not to have children for 10 years after getting married because she felt she was not mature enough. In 2016, Ga In gave birth to her first daughter at the age of 35. 3 years later, she gave birth to a second son.
