Things that make diabetes difficult to control

When it comes to diabetes, antibiotics are not the most optimal treatment. In the late stages of diabetes, there is no cure, only symptomatic relief.

Here are some reasons why diabetes in many people is getting worse and causing more serious complications:

– Eat too much

Portion control is important in preventing blood sugar spikes after meals. You can eat what you like, but don’t eat much.

– Drinking too much alcohol

You don’t have to give up alcohol, but you do have to control how much you drink. Because alcohol will prevent the liver from releasing glucose, blood sugar levels will drop low, causing hypoglycemia.

To keep things under control, you should have no more than 2 drinks a day if you are a man, 1 drink if you are a woman. Do not drink alcohol on an empty stomach.

– Skip breakfast

It is important for people with diabetes not to skip breakfast. This can cause sugar levels to spike during the day. Eating late at night can cause high glucose levels in the morning.

– Drink some water

When you have diabetes, your body loses more water. So, when you don’t drink enough water, your blood sugar levels rise. Try to drink water more often even if you don’t feel thirsty. Drink 1 glass of water when you first wake up, and every few hours should drink more. If you don’t like plain water, you can add a few slices of lemon, mint leaves or crushed berries.

– Less sleep

After just one night of sleeping less than 6 hours, blood sugar levels the next day will increase. When the body lacks sleep, it makes less insulin, making it harder to transport glucose into the cells.

Getting enough sleep from 7 to 8 hours will help the body secrete enough insulin.

– Sedentary, exercise

Exercise is the best way to keep blood sugar levels in check. It can be said that this is the “perfect drug” for people with diabetes. Besides controlling blood sugar, exercise also helps prevent weight gain, high blood pressure, depression, heart disease. You should try to get at least 30 minutes of exercise every day.
