Service Russia’s flagship sunk comes just weeks after top Russian military officials announced shifting the focus of the special military operation eastward.

It appears that Russian attacks around major Ukrainian cities such as Kiev and Kharkov has stalled. Russia also failed to achieve complete air superiority andThe loss of the Moscow flagship could anger Russia even more, CNN commented.

According to CNN, the war in Ukraine could soon enter a new, even more dangerous, phase.

In fact, Russia was quick to respond after the sinking of the Moscow flagship.

Ukraine’s Southern Operations Command said in a statement early on Wednesday that the situation in the Mykolaiv and Kherson regions, in southern Ukraine “is becoming increasingly severe”.

The statement said Russian forces were “angry at the losses in the Black Sea” and had “intensified the missile threat” in the region.

Natalia Humeniuk, a spokeswoman for the armed forces in southern Ukraine, said that the missile attacks began on the night of April 15, in retaliation for the sinking of the Moscow ship.

On the other hand, the fact that the US and Western countries have increased arms transfers to Kiev also made the situation more tense.

Russia has officially objected to the US continuously shipping weapons to Ukraine. CNN quoted two US officials and a source with knowledge as saying that Moscow had sent a note to the US State Department warning of “unforeseen consequences” if the assistance continued.

The note was sent as the US government prepares to send a new military aid package worth $800 million to Ukraine. The European Union (EU) has also approved an additional €500 million in funding for military equipment for Ukraine.

This is the first time since Russia conducted a special military operation in Ukraine, the US provided Kiev with high-power weapons. including Mi-17 helicopters, 18 155 mm cannons and 300 Switchblade drones.

These weapons are designed for combat that is likely to take place in the Donbass region with larger and more open terrain than urban and wooded areas.

Ukraine’s military and regional officials say Russian attacks have intensified in the Kharkov, Luhansk and Donetsk regions.

Answering CNN on April 15, the President of Ukraine Zelensky warned all countries of the world to be worried when Russia “starts talking about nuclear weapons or some chemical weapons”, and called on the world to prepare.

Meanwhile, US officials forecast that Russia’s strategic forecast could be to move weapons and troops into eastern Ukraine from its current position in the north, and then encircle and “cut off” forces. Ukraine is present there.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said that “Russia’s main focus is to regroup and strengthen its troops” around Slobozhansky, an area about 100km south of Kharkov.
