Ms. Le Thi Bang Tam stopped being the President of Vinamilk

According to information from Vietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company (Vinamilk), Vinamilk will hold the 2022 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders on April 26.

At the meeting, Vinamilk will elect the Board of Directors for the new term 2022-2026. Notably, this term’s nomination list does not have a President Le Thi Bang Tam.

Ms. Le Thi Bang Tam was born in 1947, holds a Bachelor of Finance and Accounting from the University of Finance and Accounting, a Doctor of Economics from Leningrat University of Economics and Finance and holds an International Finance Certificate from North University London.

Ms. Tam has been the President of Vinamilk since July 2015, and at the same time has been the Chairwoman of HDBank from June 2010 to present. It is known that Ms. Le Thi Bang Tam will also stop being the Chairwoman of HDBank from this year.

Before being the Chairwoman at Vinamilk and HDBank, Ms. Tam was the Chairman of SCIC (2006-2008), Deputy Minister – Member of the Personnel Committee of the Ministry of Finance (1995-2006), Deputy Director, Director General, General Director. Central State Treasury (1989-1995) and many other jobs at the Ministry of Finance.

With the departure of Ms. Le Thi Bang Tam, Vinamilk’s Board of Directors for the next term will consist of 10 members, in which the former members include Mr. Alain Xavier Cany, Ms. Dang Thi Thu Ha, Mr. Do Le Hung, Mr. Le Thanh Liem, Ms. Mai Kieu Lien, Mr. Lee Meng Tat, Mr. Michael Chye Hin Fah, Mr. Hoang Ngoc Thach and Ms. Tieu Yen Trinh.

The only new member is Mr. Nguyen Hanh Phuc, replacing Ms. Nguyen Thi Tham. Mr. Phuc was born in 1959, is a Construction Engineer. Mr. Phuc retired from November 2021 to present and has no interests related to Vinamilk. Mr. Phuc was introduced as an independent candidate.

In 2021, Vinamilk achieved revenue of more than VND 61 trillion, profit before tax of VND 12,922 billion. In 2022, Vinamilk expects profit to continue to grow negative with pre-tax profit of about VND 12,000 billion, the lowest in 6 years.

However, Vinamilk expects that by 2026, the company’s profit will increase to VND 16,000 billion, with a revenue of VND 86,200 billion.

Vinamilk will pay a dividend of VND3,850/share for 2021 and expect a similar dividend for 2022.
