The medal is 5mm thick, the gold medal will be 24K gold plated, the silver medal will be silver plated, and the bronze medal will be copper plated. In addition, the 31st SEA Games medals are cast in copper – zinc compounds, of which the amount of red copper accounts for 85%. It is expected that more than 4,000 gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded to athletes with high achievements in competition.
SEA Games 31 took place from May 12 to 23 in Hanoi and 11 provinces, with the participation of more than 7,000 athletes from 11 countries in Southeast Asia. Athletes will compete in 40 sports.
