The Deputy Inspector General of the Government was reprimanded

Deputy Inspector General of the Government Dang Cong Huan was reprimanded by the Central Inspection Commission for his involvement in violations in Binh Thuan.

According to the announcement on the afternoon of April 21, at the 14th session (April 19-20), the Central Inspection Committee reprimanded Mr. Huan and Mr. Vu Van Hoa, members of the Party Personnel Committee, Deputy General Auditor General of the State Audit Office of Vietnam. for “violating in the direction of inspection, settlement of denunciations and audits in Binh Thuan province”.

In addition to the above two, the Central Inspection Committee expelled the Party Mr. Le Nguyen Thanh Danh, former Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, former Deputy Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment; Ngo Hieu Toan, Party member, Deputy Director of the Department of Finance of Binh Thuan province.

The two people warned are Mr. Le Tuan Phong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Personnel Committee, Chairman of Binh Thuan Province and Nguyen Tran Nam, former member of the Party Personnel Committee, former Deputy Minister of Construction.

The Central Inspection Committee proposed the Politburo and the Secretariat to consider and discipline the Standing Board of Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee for the 2010-2015, 2015-2020 terms; Party Committee of Binh Thuan Provincial People’s Committee for the term 2011-2016, 2016-2021.

Many leaders of Binh Thuan province were also proposed to be disciplined, including Mr. Huynh Van Ti, former member of the Party Central Committee, former Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Manh Hung, former member of the Party Central Committee, former Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Le Tien Phuong, former Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, former Secretary of the Party Personnel Committee, former Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Nguyen Ngoc Hai, former Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, former Secretary of the Party Personnel Committee, former Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Luong Van Hai, former member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, former Deputy Secretary of the Party Personnel Committee, former Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Ho Lam, former member of the Provincial Party Committee, former Secretary of the Party Committee, former Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Binh Thuan province.

Previously, at its 12th meeting in early March, the Central Inspection Committee reviewed the inspection results when there were signs of violations against the Standing Board of Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee for the 2015-2020 term. This agency determined that the Standing Board of Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee violated the principle of democratic centralism and working regulations, lacked responsibility, loosed leadership and direction, lacked inspection and supervision.

This mistake has allowed the Party Committee of the Provincial People’s Committee, the Provincial People’s Committee and many organizations and individuals to violate the Party’s regulations and the State’s laws in the management and use of land, and the implementation of a number of projects; a number of officials and party members, including key leaders of the province, were prosecuted and detained.

“The violations mentioned above have caused very serious consequences, causing great loss of money and property of the State, causing frustration in society, adversely affecting the reputation of the Party committees and local authorities, to the point that review and discipline”, the central inspection agency concluded.

Regarding the violations mentioned above, the Central Inspection Committee said that it is the responsibility of the Party Personnel Committee and some officials and leaders of the Ministry of Construction, the Government Inspectorate, and the State Audit to consider liability trial.
