The issued household registration books and temporary residence books will still be used and valid as papers and documents confirming residence until the end of December 31, 2022.
Thus, by the end of 2022, paper household registration books and temporary residence books will no longer be valid. Instead, the residency management agency will manage the population using electronic data contained in the Population Database.
Current household registration books and temporary residence books are only valid until the end of December 31, 2022.
Leaving the paper household book, what documents are used to confirm residence information?
According to the Law on Residence 2020, from July 1, 2020, all information related to residency is updated in the Residency Database, which is connected and shared with the National Population Database. .
