Vietnam Women’s Team plays a friendly match with KSVN Coal Club: Reviewing the force before the SEA Games
This is the first friendly match of coach Mai Duc Chung’s team after returning from a training trip in Korea. The starting line-up of the National Women’s team includes goalkeeper Khong Thi Hang (replaced in the second half by Lai Thi Tuyet), defenders Phuong Thao, Diem My, Luong Thu Thuong and Thu Thao. The two central defenders were assigned by coach Mai Duc Chung to Duong Thi Van and Tran Nguyen Bao Chau (in the second half, replaced by Hai Linh). In the upper line, the midfield pair including Ngan Thi Van Su and Thanh Nha support the back strikers Nguyen Thi Van and Nguyen Thi Thuy Hang.
The match took place on Cua Ong Stadium with sunny weather. The players are still in the training phase with heavy loads, so they still lack agility and flexibility. After the first half was a goalless draw, Nguyen Thi Van was the one to score the only goal in the second half after a coordinated attack. The score 1-0 was maintained until the end of the match without any more goals being scored.

Commenting on the match, coach Mai Duc Chung said that this friendly match revealed many weaknesses of young players, requiring more time to adjust and practice to improve experience.
During the training session this morning (April 28), the coaching staff only let the players who did not play the friendly match on the afternoon of April 27 to practice, the rest were relaxed on the field. As planned, tomorrow afternoon (April 29), the main squad will continue to play a friendly match with KSVN Coal Club at the official SEA Games stadium, Cam Pha Stadium.
It is expected that on April 30, coach Mai Duc Chung will finalize the official list of the national women’s team to attend the 31st SEA Games.
