Bangladeshi people flock to their hometowns to celebrate Eid-al-Fitr

Tomorrow (May 1) begins Eid-al-Fitr, an important Muslim holiday, commemorating the end of the fasting month of Ramadan. Thousands of Bangladeshis are flocking to the main piers and ferry terminals in the capital Dhaka to return home to attend the ceremony.

It is expected that, during this year’s festival, millions of people will leave the capital Dhaka on vehicles such as ferries, buses and trains. Therefore, the platform, ferry terminal, and bus station are always packed with people.

After two years of being affected by the COVID-19 epidemic, many people are happy that basic traffic has returned to normal, travel has been somewhat easier than last year.
